Expat committee organizes visit to the Kosovo Tribunal

Excursion to the Kosovo Specialist Chambers

Over the years the Expat Committee of the Wijkvereniging has organized visits to organizations and businesses within our neighborhood.  Two of those have been to the building on Raamweg 47: first Europol  was housed there and then The Dutch Don’t Dance company had their studio there.

Now we welcome the new occupant of the building – the Kosovo Specialist Chambers and Specialist Prosecutor’s Office (KSC). At our request they have graciously planned a visit for us on:

Friday, September 27 at 15:30 hrs.

These Chambers are part of the judicial system of Kosovo and attached to each level of Kosovo’s court system. Their mandate is to examine crimes against humanity which allegedly occurred during the three years 1998-2000.  Since the law allows for the relocation of the proceedings outside Kosovo, the Chambers chose The Hague to establish this seat.

Learn more about what this Judicial Institution does by making a reservation to attend this excursion with our new Expat Committee member: Ellen uit den Boogaart, neeltjeudb@hotmail.com or telephone: 06  4674 0052. Please provide your name , nationality and date of birth. Don’t forget to bring your ID on the day itself.  See you on the 27th.
